Work Experience

2017 – 2020 | Museo Art Academy | Instructor

I taught art for children and teens in studio and onsite in the after-school program, in partnership with the Issaquah School District. I taught classes in drawing, painting, ceramics, and mixed media art. When classes moved online in response to COVID-19, I taught online using Zoom meetings.

2013 – 2015 | Walpole Recreation Department | Instructor

I taught adult drawing and painting workshops for the Walpole, MA Recreation Department. I love teaching perspective and color theory, and teaching students to see like an artist.

1999 – current | Yatsze Mark Illustration | Sole Proprietor

I am a freelance illustrator and portrait artist, working in traditional and digital media for a variety of clients. I did user interface illustration for Turbine Software (now WB Games, a division of Warner Bros Entertainment), Computer Curriculum Corporation (a division of Simon & Schuster), Plato, and other gaming and education software companies.

1996 – 1998 | Valve Software | Texture Artist

I painted textures for levels and creature models for the first-person shooter game Half-life.

1995 – 1996 | Lightspan Partnership | Artist

I created concept art, background paintings, sprite elements, and textures for educational software on the Playstation.

1994 – 1995 | Midway Home Entertainment | Artist

I created digital art for Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, and 3DO consoles.

I created color separations and film positives for fine art serigraphs.

Skills
I am a Photoshop illustration specialist, skilled in delivering sprite or background art in any bit depth or palette, in any style. I have working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Office. I have taught online classes using several different shared video platforms.
